Additional Debit Card Fraud Protection is coming soon.
Rest easy knowing Centra is now automatically sending fraud text alerts. If suspicious activity is identified on your debit card, you will receive a text to your mobile phone to either confirm you made the purchase allowing you to continue using your debit card, or begin the fraud dispute process. Fraud Text Alerts will come from the number 37268. Add this number to your phone now and change the name to something you’ll recognize, like Centra Fraud Alert to avoid future confusion.
All Members will receive this additional security feature beginning May 13, 2019. You will not need to take any additional action. Just make sure Centra has your correct contact info on file! There is no cost to you to receive the Fraud Text Alert or to respond. If you do NOT want to receive Fraud Text Alerts, simply reply to the text with “STOP.”
Can’t answer your text right away? If we don’t hear back within 15 minutes, we’ll give you a call about the suspicious purchase, just like we do today. If you do not have a mobile phone number on file with Centra, we will continue to reach you by calling the landline you currently have on file.
You can ensure you receive this benefit by updating your phone number with Centra at your local branch or by calling our Contact Center at 800-232-3642. Once you have a mobile number on your account you will be automatically enrolled.
